DR. O’CONNELL
DPM
Dr. O’Connell graduated from Roger Williams University in Rhode Island with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Bachelor of Science in Biology, and a concentration in psychology. She had a previous career as an analytical chemist for military operations, as well as an electrochemist at Duracell. While working in various medical clinics in El Salvador and the West Indes, Dr. O’Connell offered wound care and education to diabetic patients in order to help prevent amputation and infection. Dr. O’Connell graduated at the top of her medical school class at Western University of Health Sciences and completed a rigorous residency program with an added certification in rearfoot reconstructive surgery. Dr. O’Connell has received additional instruction in arthroscopy, MIS bunionectomies, and pediatric clubfoot casting. During her residency training, she participated in a mission trip to Nicaragua to learn reconstructive surgery under some of the nation’s best reconstructive foot and ankle surgeons. Dr. O’Connell has a great passion for disadvantaged populations and international medicine and enjoys a culturally diverse patient population.
In her personal life, she enjoys traveling, hiking with her husband, and playing the guitar.
